Workshop\ Occupational Safety Requirements in Research Centers

The Energy and Renewable Energy Technology Center, University of Technology-Iraq, held two workshops entitled (Occupational Safety Requirements in Research Centers) on ’Monday, 28/4/2025 at 10 am, which was attended by the center’s staff. The lecturer (Assistant Teacher Mustafa Abdul sattar Ibrahim) from Energy and Renewable Energies Technology Center was presented the workshop.

The workshop included:

1. Introduction to the basics and requirements of occupational safety in research centers and laboratories.
2. Presentation of the most important potential hazards during scientific experiments and how to prevent them.
3. Review of laws and regulations related to safety procedures in research work environments.
4. Conducting a practical experiment during the workshop on how to use a fire extinguisher correctly.

Workshop objective:

Raising awareness of occupational safety among workers in research centers and emphasizing the importance of adhering to preventive measures to provide a safe work environment that protects lives and property.

The workshop finished with answering questions and inquiries.
